To the Clergy and Faithful of the Parishes of the Bulgarian Diocese of Toledo:

It is with profound sorrow, yet tempered by the hope of resurrection, that I inform you of the repose of our much beloved Archbishop KYRILL today, June 17, 2007.

The body of His Eminence will lie in state at our Diocesan Cathedral, St. George, in Rossford (Toledo), Ohio. A schedule of funeral services will be forwarded to each parish in our Diocese as soon as plans are finalized. Bulgarian Diocesan clergy will preside at St. George Cathedral. For further information please contact Father Paul Monkowski at (440) 238-1050.

Diocesan clergy will also conduct a 40-day Memorial Service at the Cathedral in Toledo. Once again, details regarding the Memorial will forthcoming.

Please encourage all the faithful in your parish to remember His Eminence in their prayers, that the Lord our God may greet him with the words, “well done, good and faithful servant.” I remain,

We have received the temporary occupancy permit and have been holding our parish services in the new temple since May 11, 2008.  There is still a lot that needs to be done on the inside and outside of the building, so work continues.
