Join us and participate in this year’s Chili Cook-Off! Each family is asked to bring their best chili recipe for a friendly competition in the parish hall, where everyone will cast anonymous ballots for their favorite chili! The winner will receive their choice of an icon of St. Euphrosynos (the patron Saint of cooks), or an icon of the Last Supper for their dining room!

Metanoia Class

Our Metanoia Class will be starting up on Wednesday, August 28th, beginning at 6:30 PM (after Compline). This class is a 6-7 week course on Orthodox Christianity, and is not only for catechumens who are studying to be Orthodox, but also for the entire parish family, so that we can all learn together what we are called to do in Christ's Holy Church! If you have not already taken a semester or two of metanoia, please consider joining us for these important classes!

For those that are unable to make it to the monastery for Divine Liturgy, Holy Assumption in Grand Blanc will also be celebrating the Divine Liturgy for their Feast Day beginning at 10 AM.

St. Mary Magdalene’s Parish Feast & First Responders Blessing and BBQ!

Mark your calendars for our Fourth Annual First Responder Blessing and BBQ, as we welcome all of our local heroes to the Church for a special prayer service following the Divine Liturgy, where we will pray not only for those who have lost their lives in the line of duty, but also for the strength and protection of all of our those who put themselves in harms way to protect each and every one of us.

This year, our First Responders Blessing will coincide with our Parish Feast Day of St. Mary Magdalene! Be sure to join us for the Divine Liturgy, which begins at 10:00 AM, where we will have the relics of our patroness out in the center of the Church for veneration.
