First Responder’s Blessing 2019

On Sunday, July 21st, we celebrated not only our Parish Name’s Day of St. Mary Magdalene, but also welcomed and prayed for all of our local First Responders. A molebin service was held outside at the Shrine, where we not only asked for the health and safety of our current responders, but also prayed for those who had given their lives in the line of duty. Each First responder present was given an icon of St. Archangel Michael or of St. Herman of Alaska, in order to remember the event.

The parish then welcomed our guests down for a large cookout and picnic, giving us the chance to say a personal thank you to all that our First Responders do for us on a daily basis.
